Goals and Objectives for 2006-2007
Club Service
Work with Community Service to coordinate "Celebrate Rotary" birthday
celebration possibly coordinate with other Tyler clubs.
Centennial Committee/Club Historian to coordinate and record events.
Coordinate District Convention Meeting scheduled in Tyler.
Review updated classification system to communicate membership classification needs to the
membership to encourage diversity of membership and promote a balanced membership, induct
new members from demographic groups not currently represented in our club.
Achieve 75% attendance goal.
Assign a person to greet members, introduce guests, and give the invocation for each
meeting.
Recognize any Paul Harris Fellow widows/widowers, should they arise during the year.
Continue to update our website for news and events.
Establish a membership committee.
Total membership goal of 100 members by end of Rotary Year.
Continue new member orientation program.
Establish membership retention plan.
Goal to slow retention to less than 3% annually.
Vocational Service
Tour one business during the year.
Encourage membership to mentor young
people/young club members.
Recognize an outstanding individual in the
community.
Organize the Young Citizens Awards and Banquet.
Community Service
Coordinate the Annual Chili Cook Off with a minimum $8,000 net profit goal.
Support the Missions of Mercy Project.
Send six students to RYLA camp.
Institute a Community Service Hunger Project - possibly in partnership with another
agency.
Continue Salvation Army Bell ringing project.
Investigate participating in program to address child abuse and/or domestic violence.
International Service
Sponsor Dr. David Nichols Belize project.
Find applicants for GSE team to a foreign country.
Host GSE team from a foreign country.
