Tyler Rotary Club Celebrating Our Veterans
The Watkins-Logan Veterans Home has 123 resident veterans who require assistance in daily living. However, the facility had only one vehicle available – a bus – to transport veterans to their doctor visits. They now have a van to transport veterans to medical appointments!
Because of our Sponsors and Participants in the
2016 Celebrating Our Veterans Event
The Rotary Club of Tyler donated a van to the Watkins-Logan
Chili Cook Off
For 11 years, the Rotary Club of Tyler organized an Annual Chili Cook Off Fundraiser. Proceeds benefited the various projects of The Rotary Club of Tyler.
Missions in Belize & Texas
For almost 30 years, Dr. David Nichols, DDS has been regularly leading a group of volunteers to the jungles of Belize and Guatemala to administer much needed medical, surgical, and dental care to the native residents of the region. Volunteers pay their own travel expenses with additonal support coming from Tyler Rotary Clubs and Tejas Mission, Inc.

Tejas Missions has also partnered with Tyler Sunrise Rotary to help provide educational opportunities for the Mayan Indian children of Southern Belize.
Medical mission trips are usually for one week and involve physicians, dentists, nurses, and volunteers from varied backgrounds. Please contact Dr. David Nichols at Tyler Rotary if you have interest in this mission.
Back home in Texas, Tejas Missions, Inc. partners with the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation, Bethesda Health Clinic, Youth With A Mission, local churches, and Tyler Rotary to sponsor Texas Mission of Mercy of East Texas providing free medical and dental care for the financially strained.
